Taxation in small states

On the 1ST February 2000 a dinner-colloquium was held in the Hotel Roc Blanc in Escaldes-Engordany with the title Taxation in small states: What is the right system for Andorra? With contributions by Albert Collado, Josep Segura and Roland Destrée. The Financial Circle, the Official College of Economists of Andorra and the Julià Reig Foundation jointly organised the colloquium to examine one of the issues that most closely concerns all economic sectors in Andorra: the future of Andorra's tax structure.Albert Collado spoke of the importance of taxes in countries comparable with the Principality of Andorra and in those geographically close to it. Josep Segura focussed on the current state of fiscal affairs in Andorra. And finally, Roland Destrée described where one taxation system or another might take the Andorra, and what the consequences would be for the country.
