Lluitant per la vida, Andorra i la Segona Guerra Mundial

lluitantThe documentary Lluitant per la vida, Andorra i la Segona Guerra Mundial (Fighting for life, Andorra and the Second World War) directed by Jorge Cebrian and Roger Torruella, talks about the role played by Andorra during the Second World War through some of its protagonists.

The Julià Reig Foundation thought it interesting to show how important those facts were for the Andorran history and the Andorran citizens.lluitantThe documentary, that was presented in June 2006, shows the toughness of life in the valleys during that period and the chains of evasion stablished in the country.

Several Andorrans, collaborators of the Resistence, end up detained by the nazis and are deported to the concentration camps. 13 are the Andorrans that where confronted to this experience in the Buchenwald, Flossenbürg, Mauthausen, Linz and Dachau concentration camps. Their families have given their witness to explain their activities, unknown until now, and have handed over new documents.

Due to the huge expectation that the presentation of the documentary had, the Julià Reig Foundation promoted, along with Premsa Andorrana S.A and Ràdio i Televisió d'Andorra SA, the edition of the documentary in a CD that was attached at the 25th November 2007 edition of the Diari d'Andorra.

On the 22nd November 2007 an exhibition based on the documentary was inaugurated in the Museu del Tabac.lluitant2
